Terms of service
Last updated 14 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use the On The Go Deliveries website, apps and delivery service. They are an agreement between you and Your Company (Pty) Ltd (“On The Go”, “we”, “us”). By using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.
2. What On The Go does
On The Go is a delivery platform. We connect businesses and their customers with independent drivers who collect orders and deliver them. We are not the seller of the items being delivered. Drivers are independent and are not our employees.
3. Who can use the service
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. Drivers must also meet the requirements on our Drive with us page and be approved by us before they can accept deliveries.
4. Requesting a delivery
A delivery is requested with a pickup point, a drop-off address and the details needed to complete it. You must give accurate information. If the details are wrong or incomplete, the delivery may be delayed, returned or cancelled, and fees may still apply.
5. Fees and payment
Delivery fees are calculated from the route distance: a base fee of R30 plus R6 per kilometre, for deliveries up to 20 km. The fee is shown before you confirm a delivery, and the amount shown when you confirm is the amount you pay.
Fees are in South African rand (ZAR) and are paid through a secure third-party payment provider. We do not store your card details. We may change our fees from time to time, but a change does not affect a delivery you have already confirmed.
6. Cancellations and refunds
Please see our Refunds and cancellations policy, which forms part of these terms.
7. The items you send
Businesses and senders are responsible for making sure the items they ask us to deliver may lawfully be sold, possessed and transported, are accurately described and are properly packed, and for any age or identity checks that apply to them.
We may refuse, cancel or return any delivery, at any time, if we reasonably believe an item is unlawful, unsafe, damaged or not as described.
8. Handover
Someone must be available at the drop-off address to receive the order. Where the sender requires proof of identity or age at handover, the recipient must provide it. If a delivery cannot be completed because no one is available, the address is wrong or the required identification cannot be provided, the order may be returned to the sender and the delivery fee may still apply.
9. Drivers
Drivers must give accurate information, hold a valid driver's licence, use a registered vehicle, follow the law and the rules of the road, handle items with care and keep recipients' information private. We may suspend or remove a driver who does not. Drivers decide when they go online and which deliveries they accept.
10. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service. This includes giving false information, abusing drivers, staff or customers, interfering with how the service works, trying to access other people's information, or using the service for anything unlawful.
11. Our responsibility
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Deliveries can be affected by things outside our control, such as traffic, weather, load shedding or network outages, and estimated arrival times are estimates only.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act or any other law that cannot be limited by agreement.
12. Privacy
We handle personal information as described in our Privacy policy.
13. Our content
The On The Go name, logo and website content belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse them without our permission.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies, and the date at the top shows when it was last changed. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the updated terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
